What's New @ MyGED.org ?
Online GED transcript requests

The GED transcript request process is now online – the address is www.ged.ky.gov or go to KYAE’s Web site at www.kyae.ky.gov and click on the link under “Related Content” on the right side of the screen. Please encourage students to request transcripts online rather than completing a paper form.
An individual can complete the required information, pay for the transcript online with a
MasterCard or Visa debit or credit card, sign the request electronically, and grant permission to mail the request to a third party. Requesting the transcript online greatly expedites the process. Individuals who do not have a debit or credit card can complete the form online, print the request and mail it to KYAE with payment.

Programs Schedule  (updated March 23)

What’s New at Newport Adult Learning Centers

New Direction for Adult Education Statewide
Adult Education has adopted a “New Framework for Adult Education” This framework is encouraging Learning Centers to schedule enrollment times for new students and to provide scheduled small group Reading, Math and Writing classes. We have implemented these directives in our Dayton and Newport locations and are seeing success.

The Fastest Results Ever
Students now register for the Official GED test online. This allows them to receive their scores via the Internet the day after they complete the GED test. Our students have really enjoyed such quick results.

TABE and Official PreGED Testing
The TABE and Official PreGED testing are now scheduled for Tuesday evenings at 5:30pm and Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30am.  We have found we can create a much better testing environment for students by scheduling this testing and using a “quiet” room.

Mission Statement
According to the 1990 Census, 29% of Campbell County’s adult population failed to finish high school.  Newport Adult Learning Centers/Alternate High School will provide the opportunity for Campbell County’s undereducated adults to complete their high school education.  Using the learning center style approach, the Adult Learning Center will design an individualized, prescriptive educational program to fit each student’s personal needs.  We will strive to empower our students so that they may become more productive members of our community.
